CAPECO is committed to working with local employers to help build workforce skills.  CAPECO offers employers a variety of services including: on-the- job training, rapid response, and other services.

On-The-Job Training:
CAPECO provides reimbursement of up to 50% of trainee’s wages during the training period with the goal being unsubsidized employment.  On-the-job training gives employees the opportunity to learn skills beyond what is available through pre-employment training.  This activity is "here first, train later." Employers must attest that they would not have hired the individuals without the on-the-job training assistance.

CAPECO staff maintains contact with both the employee and the employer during training period to ensure a successful transition.

Rapid Response
Contact should be made to the dislocated worker liaison in case of mass layoffs or business closures to ensure a quick and coordinated response takes place.
