The Workforce Investment Act, WIA, Adult/Dislocated Worker Program

If you are interested in the WIA Adult/Dislocated Worker Program, first complete the registration process with WorkSource Oregon.

  • Complete an online iMatch Skills profile, which includes registering with WorkSource Oregon, by going to www.workinginoregon.org or www.iMatchSkills.org. For more detailed instructions, follow the instructions on this PDF file.
  • Bring your government-issued identification to a WorkSource Oregon Employment Department office to complete the Welcome process and have your identification validated by staff.
  • After both steps have been done, you can sign up for workshops offered by CAPECO and the NCRC offered by the Employment Department.
  • You can also schedule an appointment with a CAPECO Workforce Development case manager to discuss your circumstances and service needs.

If your local office is WorkSource Pendleton:

  • To sign up/pre-register for workshops at this location, complete the registration process above, then either stop by the front counter or call Matt at (541) 276-9050 Ext. 250.
  • For workshops, the deadline to sign up/pre-register is 4:30 PM the day before a workshop is offered.
  • For the NCRC, pre-register by 11:00 AM the day of the assessment. The NCRC is generally offered on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday mornings of each month.

If your local office is WorkSource Hermiston:

  • To sign up for workshops at this location, complete the registration process above, then either stop by the front counter and ask for Donna or call her at (541) 564-5695.
  • For workshops, the deadline to sign up/pre-register is 4:30 PM the day before a workshop is offered.
  • For the NCRC, pre-register by 5:00 PM the Tuesday before the assessment. The NCRC is generally offered on the 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings of each month.
