Homeless and Lodging Assistance
Lodging assistance may be available for individuals and families who are homeless and in need of temporary lodging. Lodging assistance can be accessed once in a twelve month period. The number of lodging nights is determined on a case by case basis and is dependent on the availability of funds. Only those who are in immediate need and have a plan for permanent housing will be eligible to receive this assistance.
Persons seeking lodging assistance will be asked to provide:
- Information for all household members, including, but not limited to: Name, Date of birth, social security number, contact and residence information, level of education, etc.
- Proof of income for the last 30 days for all household members, 18 & older
- Receipts documenting expenses for the last 30 days
- Proof that the household will have permanent housing at the end of our assistance
Pendleton Warming Station(PWS), 116 SE 12th St., Pendleton. Intake: 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Hours of operation: 6:30pm to 6:00am on nights when temperature is to fall below 32 degrees for a sustained period, call 541-276-2616 to see if it will be open. PWS will be open from November 2011 through March 31, 2012. This is a partnership of churches, community members, City of Pendleton, service clubs, agencies and businesses.
Hermiston Warming Station(HWS), 242 E Main St., Hermiston - use the back door entrance. Intake: 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Hours of operation: 7:00pm to 7:00am on nights when temperature is to fall below 32 degrees for a sustained period, call 541-720-4295. HWS will be open from November 2011 through March 31, 2012. Warming station guests can drop off pets at Pet Rescue by 4:30pm and pick them up at 8:30 the following morning. Pet Rescue will provide vaccinations. This is a partnership of churches, community members, City of Hermiston, local businesses, service clubs, and agencies.
